It's a new day here . . .

In the coming months this format will allow me to write about sewing, quilting, and the impact it has had on me in the last 30 years.  So much changed in the last five years that I keep wondering where to begin first.  So many color combinations came about, so much greatness in design has hit the markets, and I am excited to be involved with quilting again.  I took five years off from my life as a quilter to explore the world of polymer clay, and found myself drawn back to fabric when my son and daughter-in-law announced last Spring that they were having a girl.
When Farren was born in July, I was ready with bibs, blankies, soft flannel washcloths, and quilts.  I was also ready to wrap her in my loving arms and fall in love with a grandchild all over again like I did when our grandson, Nevin, was born seven years ago.  Life is good and keeps getting better.  For that I am grateful.
